Hood By Air Defies The Line Between Men and Women

Hood By Air is a NYC street wear brand with an androgynous ideology surrounding clothing. Although the majority of their customers are males, the whole premise behind the line is making clothing to be worn by both men and women, defying the rules of fashion on all fronts. Hood By Air has made quite a name for themselves, especially after hiring graffic designer and the infamous NYC "1992" party promoter, Oscar Sanchez, to create their futuristic look book. Now in its 3rd season, the dark vision of Hood By Air's futurewear combines influences from circa 1992 (makes you wonder where that came from...), with medieval armor and militant vibes. A mixture of both tight fitting silhouettes and loose fitting tops creates a black palette that is dedicated to a daring customer seeking individuality and freedom. You can find this innovative brand at Seven New York and Oak. If you ask me, they are playing it smart, featuring their line in only two local stores, creating buzz for that special customer that seeks hard to find apparel.
