Liberal Copenhagen

So I thought NYC was liberal, but it has nothing on Copenhagen! So I moved here to play basketball but am more encompassed by the public displays of affection by same-sex couples. I must admit I am a liberal person but there is something a bit off-setting to see 13 year olds holding hands, groping and passionately kissing one another in public, let alone behind closed doors. Call me old fashioned, but I beg to differ that any 13 year old is ready for the rigors of lesbianism. I can hardly handle it and I'm now 31. Furthermore, when I was a mere 13 years of age, I was still playing with army men and shooting birds with my bee-bee gun...if no one could guess I would become a full throttle lesbian, then God bless them!

I'm also a bit turned off by the music venue I attended featuring provocatively clad 15 and 16 year olds parading around the stage as if they were at a peep show with 50 and 60 year old men wolf whistling at them. I sort of wanted to run up on stage and wrap my hoodie around them but I refrained. I'll try to remove myself from my old fashioned soap box at this time and talk about the other end of the spectrum. I have seen not one fat person here. If you are looking for Burger King, Taco Bell or Wendy's, you won't find it in Denmark. You will instead find fresh fruit, tons of vegetables and fresh fish which isn't pumped full of hormones to make it a certain color or turn it into a different species all together. Maybe that is why everyone here is also beautiful. Yes, that is right. I have not seen a fat or ugly person since my inception here last week. Not only that, but everyone speaks English and is very friendly. I am in lesbianic heaven.

With a mermaid adorning the city, one might assume that women are at the forefront of the Danish culture and one would be right. Not only are the women blonde...my personal favorite...they are also educated and ready, willing and able to partake in lesbian fun. The major lesbian venue, Vela, is a mix between aesthetically pleasing hand-painted art magnifying the windows of the club and oriental couture interior design. Vela is a little gem tucked away in the hip Vesterbro quarter. If you don't know where Vesterbro is, come visit! You can stay with me. I'll be writing to you from Copenhagen for the year but staying in touch with everything New York because ultimately that is where my heart is, even if Denmark steals it until May!

Throwing Curve Balls at Diva Dodgeball - Asbury Park

The PropHot team showed their massive skills at Assbury Park...oops, I mean Asbury Park a few weeks ago at the biggest lesbian dodgeball festival of them all. Yes, Diva Dodgeball, where the girls threw some curve balls, because no lesbian can throw a straight ball, at some victims of ridicule and demise. The NYC crew made it all the way to the semifinals before checking out with visions of drinks on their mind to the Shescape crew. The team consisted of Lynn, Sam Deka, Amber Lee, Kelli Raimonde, Trish Libertore, Sara Church, Raquel Zm,Stephanie Schulter, Tiffany Roesler, Jourdan Snyder, Kristen Singer,Taryn Miller-Stevens, Casey Cormier.

The Prop Hot team will be doing it up again with a modified team for Fire Island, August 28-30th, Cherry Grove. I guess we had to get rid of some of the girls that can't throw curve balls!
